User-Contributed Transcription Dr. Nichols of Danvers, Mass. The last named came to this town to visit a sick relative, and Father sent to him to call and see H. Dr. Chadbounne of Concord is coming out next week. It does seem very strange that he does not gain [unclear] , he seems, for one day, to be better, but something is sure to take place immediately, to discourage our hopes. I have been out of school another week, while H. was sickest. Have now but one week longer. My brother still seems to be in a very quite and happy state of mind. Father often talks with him, when he is sufficiently roused to enter into conversation. He still seems decided as a Christian and willing to leave his all in the hands of our kind Heavenly Father, feeling that ' He doeth all things well". It is very hard for me to realize that the pale and sunken face I see, is really my brother Henry. It is so strange for him to come home sick, as he has usually been so strong and well. It will be nine weeks tomorrow, since he was taken ill. (18. Sabbath) Brother is not quite so well today. Yesterday afternoon two gentlemen, who worked and boarded with him at Havenhill, came to see him. The excitement of seeing them, though he saw them but a few moments, was more than he could well endure, but we hope it will not permanently injure him. We are have one of our most beautiful
