To day the truth, I had been feeling rather sadly, for I know that you were away from the vicinity of Bradford, and had heard incidentally that you had been at Goffstown & Manchester , and what had become of you I could not conceive. After we learned that the surveying had ceased above Henniker, we expected, for about a week, at every ringing of the door bell, you would enter; and then we began to think that you might have a Report, or Estimates, or something of the kind to occupy your time.
