User-Contributed Transcription fruit &c on the way - I expect the children will both begin to go to school next week - We found the folks all well the Dr. at the Depot looking very glad we abound in fruit here just now Peaches, Pears, grapes & Tomatos by the Bushel they are canning preserving & drying to save it for fruit decay here very soon after it is ripeNettie tho' she has two girls is busy as a bee taking care of fruit - picking drying putting up & labeling peas - Beans & other garden matter of various kinds for seed next year - She is a very careful houseful tho' not very strong they are going to send away one of the girls soon Charlie takes care of the Cow and pigs - Isaac has got the prettiest pigs I ever see round as a log
