Almeda has lost her valued yearling Heifer suppose it is gone off with some drove to Brighton. Mr. Henry B. Sargent has swapped farms with a man called Caton and intends to move as soon as the ground freezes onto the farm at the Corner South of Abner Hoxies where Wm. Ferrer & Elder Lord live. Jeanette Hasket has been married to Walter Starkvant her Father has bought him a farm in Dover & moved onto it. Mr. Lee means to move to Brownville this week. Joseph L. Sargent has got a son. Mr. Hartnett is sick yours of Sept. 30 was doubtless received. I am greatly enraged about the schooner Brandywine & I am afraid you have poor security for her comings from now to the first of Jan. a Capt. Seems to be a highly important appendage to a Vessel. If a suitable and satisfactory one is not provided for the Senator. Lansil the Cooper on Broad Street being extensively acquainted with Seafaring men, is a good man to enquire of towards finding one. So is Joseph Bryant Esq. the Lansils are a very large & smart family. Several Several of them among the smartest of coasting Captains & the youngest ones are doubtless to acquire renown in the same way. I did not know that Romulus Haskins was Deacon, how scandalously you misspell Superb, in speaking of your squashes - "Serpent " - yarr!
