User-Contributed Transcription as father was not able. He had another turn of blindness and headache yesterday A.M. Not so severe as sometimes, and he feels quite comfortable to day. I called at Esq. Steeles while waiting for the cars. She seemed delighted to see me, knew me at once and urged me to visit them. I saw some of my old scholars too. I fastened the horse by the trees south of the church, because the horse is a little afraid of cars, and walked to Esq Steele and the Depot. George said knew me as soon as he saw me coming though he did not know who was with me. It was John Steele. We had a nice ride home, it being a delightful day. We expect some of the Yarmouth people here to see father the coming week. The church has voted to give George a call last week and the Society were to act as soon as possible, so that the legal document has probably reached Bangor before now. George had decided to stay another week till a letter reached him Tuesday night that was mailed at
