User-Contributed Transcription Antoinette Dunbarton New HampshireJanuary 3Jonesboro, February 6, 1852 Dunbarton third January, 1852 - My dear friend,Two days have passed since I welcomed your kind letter, but company and many duties have prevented me from commencing a reply till now. My time has been rather unusually occupied this week. Monday forenoon I was washing as usual. In the afternoon, my dear mother and I had a nice cozy time by ourselves, sewing and talking - father busy in the study and Jenny at school. In the evening, father came out and reading and conversing of what we read occupied us till past nine o'clock. We were reading a History of "William the Norman". Tuesday my friend Miss Burnham came to see me and a good long chat we had. At two in the afternoon, went to attend an Anti Slavery concert. We have a stated meeting of this kind every month, at which familiar remarks are made upon whatever had occurred of interest pertaining to Freedom, during the month just expired. I always enjoy them much. The visit of Kossuth, and the bearing it is likely to have upon the cause of Liberty, are the grand themes for discussion at present. Tuesday evening a little praying circle met in father's study. For more than a score of years their pastor's study has been their Bethel.
