User-Contributed Transcription Mr Waldo in this morning to see if he could do the pump any good. It gave out again, all at once while Gertrude was pumping, yesterday morning. But Mr Waldo could not remedy it. Said he guessed Mr Lane would have to do it. Yesterday was a fair day for a wonder. There came a letter again from Mr Keyes. In the evening came an invitation for you & me to visit at Mr Hurlbert's this evening. Dr and Anna are invited, Mr & Mrs Mussey, Ely's, Brooks', &c. To day Mary Dascomb came over to dinner. She hopes to go home to night, but I do not believe her father will come. The 'going' is terrible. The children all make noise enough to be pretty well. We use the linament for all of them, May's throat looks improving.
