User-Contributed Transcription Bangor April 23rd 1850Mr FurberI called at your house and your wife said you had gone to Frankfurt -- but would do about the Brandywine just as I would think best. Dealing offered us twenty-five dollars to pay what we would give or take for one half and it was understood that the party purchasing was to pay all bills now standing against the Schooner.I told Dealing I would give or take four hundred twenty five Dollars for 1/2 the vessel and he finally said he would sell so that the whole vessel is now on us. Deduct the twenty five dollars he offered for a bid and he gets four hundred dollars for his half -- so that you will pay him 200-Dolls for your one-quarter-- one half in cash & 1/2 in six months adding interest with a good endorserYour +c S.
