User-Contributed Transcription have had a very pleasant winter with but little snow. The last week has been very cold Mercury to ten, it will however now take but a few days of pleasant weather to put our harrows (drags) in motion, There will be a great amount of land out into wheat here this year, I have just completed the agricultural statistics of this town for the State Statistical Bureau it shows in this town for the year 1860No of farms in cultivation 55No of acres " 3356acres to wheat 1738, bushels 48,925, average for acre 28.1" " corn 596, " 24,560. " 41.2" " oats 748, " 45,174. " 60.4The balance under cultivation to various other crops this we think is about as well as Ohio can do, but I would like some of your fruit,I have to put in this year about 40 acres. shall put the most of it wheat, shall raise no more corn or oats than I shall want for consumption on the farmApril 5th I have very negligently delayed this letter and will now post it away, we are now having a fine rain, the first of any amount since October, the frost is now out of the ground sufficiently to flow, some wheat is sown and most of wheat will be put in next week if the weather should
