User-Contributed Transcription I suppose you hear from the folks at Bangor about as often as I do. Charles was calculating to go with his wife to make a visit at Hampden & Bangor this week (by the way Albina has hardly left home for a ride of pleasure at all) but there always some bad luck you know Nelly is so lame she cannot go at all be taken out of the barn leg smell'd very bad broke out in sore he dont know what it is but thinks perhaps it may be Scrachtes - it is so bad I am afraid it will spoil the beast I have just been reading your letter of Sept 2nd again I appreciate your remarks think them correct on the value of money when & where it is most needed & think we ought to have made more exertions and if we could have had a full and realizing understanding of the case in all its hearings we should have helped you more if we had to make great sacrifices even to distress ourselves to do it but tis fault we cant recall it perhaps we had better think it is some way or other all for the best possibly it might not have done you any more good than it will now if ever you get it C. says tell him to say what he thinks it ought to be and I pay it as soon as I can says you ought to have it and wishes you could have it I wish you could get a situation on the Eastern or St. Laurence R.R. so as to be near to home and nearer the boysThe folks at Warwick will perhaps wonder that I have not written to them the reason is baby has been sick good deal to do good deal to think of Ann going now gone feel spiritless and sad mean to write before long do write often. This is a mixt up mess I have written it as and when I could pick it out and put it together as it ought to be if you can
