User-Contributed Transcription [left-hand side in pencil] the clock has just said 10 & as usual I am thinking of you & my other children. How I wish my dear Isaac that I could know what are your personal feelings on the subject of religion. I intend that you will not let your press of business and cares fill your mind so that you have no time for studying the Book of Books and for prayer - prayer keeps the Christian armour bright you must need your armour in such a place[right-hand side] Warwick july 10th '48my Dear Son Mr. Parson has sent for Brother Joseph to go to Northfield So I'll drop a line or two I've got hold of a quill pen if it was only a good one I'd be glad I hear you've got letters from Lucy I want to hear or see it very much. I very much expect that your Uncle Pel will visit at Royalston this season but not till I am gone for probably he'll think he cannot come till after Haying. I have visited all the cousins in the other part of the town (and feel quite relieved) had a very pleasant tome tho' but you know I dont love to toss about from place to place any to well. However Cousin Joseph said he should be out here again this week & requested me to go back with him & I think I shall if he does for I shall be happy to see more of you & they are I suppose rather lonesome now
