User-Contributed Transcription Thompson's" two almost precisely alike that suited us, only the fabric was more than either of us wanted to give- $6.00. They were very willing to take the "yallor" one back again - so I sent it & paid the difference and have a shawl I like and humbly and sincerely hope & trust you will like it too. I went to bed & to sleep after you left Wednesday morning - had a nice nap. We had not breakfast till after seven because nobody was up to eat. Sammy Ely was latest of all. You know Eliab waked him just before you started - that disturbed his slumber so greatly that he overslept - felt sadly about being so late at the store. After breakfast I righted matters up stairs preparatory to deserting. The Porter cart took the trunks before two and shortly after Mayo and his mother trudged up here leaving Mallie somewhat long visaged - promised to see her every pleasant day. You know I hoped to go to Maternal Meeting in P.M., but could not arrange to leave Mayo, because Lizzie had the promise of going and I knew he would not be contented with Ellen, so I stayed with him. Lucy, Mallie and Lizzie went. Had a funny time as well as good, from Lucy's description. Lucy and Mallie went down town before meeting and to Mr. Wells for Tomato plants after meeting - did not get home till past six. Is'nt it wonderful that Lucy can endure so much? She had headache yesterday morning quite severely, but going down town
