User-Contributed Transcription doubts and fears, but the plan has succeeded beyond our most sanguine expectations. New faces greet us at every meeting and all are exceedingly interested. We have read the "Private and Public Life of Franklin," Napoleon's expedition to Egypt, the Treason of Arnold, and have commenced the story of Charlotte Corday.I am glad you have a good horse. If you are as fond of one as father, it will be a very great source of pleasure to have him high spirited, playful and gentle. Father delights to have a horse which nobody but himself can manage. I used to ride horseback when in Illinois and enjoyed it highly, but I have hardly been on a horse since. I rode father's horse for a short distance, twice, last summer. So you will see I am but a novice in the art. Nevertheless "she is not yet so old but she may learn."Well March is almost here, and unless your next letters tell me something new, I suppose I shall not have to write again at present. Father and mother send much love, and as much as you please from Antoinette.
