It rains quite fast and steadily, seems chilly and damp. Mrs. McLaughlin is here washing. Lucy has no girl yet and Mallie says she doesn't want any till we are back from Milo. Mallie makes bread, pies and cake. She says I must tell you that I am good all, but carrying baby upstairs. Please to believe I have vomit but twice since you left and then when I got tired and went to bed before Samuel came home and Sabra had gone beforehand. I expect Mallie is good without any exception. I see nothing to the contrary.I am glad you went to the Crystal Palace even for a short time. Wish you had had your cloak to befriend you those cold nights. Longfellow is an excellent selection
