User-Contributed Transcription Samuel Bangor Aug. 6 1856 DunbartonBangor Aug 6th 1856Brother IsaacWe recd yours of the 2d inst last eve. were very glad to hear from you and that you were all well Since I wrote you Sunday up to 11 O'clock last night Lucy had been quite comfortable when her labor commenced and at three O'clock a daughter was born to us weighing 4 1/2? lb Lucy and the child are both better than we could have expected I think. there is a chance that the child may live. In regard to Lucy we hope that the disease upon her lungs may take a favorable turn we can tell nothing at present only that she is to day quite easy, Percie is the proudest person in the house at the accession to the family Yours S.W. Furber
