User-Contributed Transcription I shall consider it a duty and a pleasure to inform you, and may I not be assured that whatever will add to my happiness will receive your hearty approval? I know that it will, and I trust also that of all my friends, but more of this another time,I have recently rec letters from Charles and Almeida, nothing of special interest from either, it seems that Mills has got over his desire to but back the farm. I am almost sorry for it without knowing why. Somehow it does not seem to me that Brownsville is the best place there is, does it to you? Still I do not know where Almeida could go at present to improve her situation, I rec a letter from Eliab and Mallie? Dec 4th to my answer to which and also to a letter written just previous I have rec no reply, I sometimes think it is a little singular, but I suppose they are very busy, it appears that Mr Harlow has got relieved from the presence of Mrs Nesbit, I wish him much joy, My room and fingers are both getting cold, Good nightSamuelThursday morning. I do not know of anything further too write only that I wish very much ti get a letter from you and to see Percie. does he even think of coming to Minnesota or talk much about me? it seems as though I could not wait till Spring to see him, with much Love to allS.W.F.
