Description Chromolithographed pop-up viewbooks. Cover title. "Printed in Germany." "Patented June 26, 1883." Each pop-up book consists of two pieces of illustrated cardboard that have been taped together, one piece forming the foreground and the other piece forming the background. Three rows of cut-out carboard building shapes are affixed to the foreground leaf. When the volume is opened and placed upright, the cut-out buildings are raised up to present a three-dimensional panorama of an area of the World's Columbian Exposition.
