User-Contributed Transcription not what the year will bring to me, and wisely are its events concealed. The last year has been a happy one - I never have felt more uniformly cheerful, and yet I can say I never had more real trial. My school at Amherst I often think why did I go there, but I doubt not it was in accordance with a wide design of Providence, which, I may one day understand and wh. I may rejoice. Since this events have occurred wh, will give a coloring my whole life -such as I little anticipated when the year commenced, such as I neglected for in the future, if ever to occur. Life seems to me now more like reality? than ever I can truly say this has been the most eventful year of my life. I hope all has been under divine direction, and now my god while Praise to thy name for the rich mercies receiveth shall ascend from the heart of the unworthy creature she would commit herself to thy care, renewedly. In joy and sorrow be thou a present ?end. If prosperity comes let it not lead to forgetfulness of thee. If adversity let it serve the end divine wisdom intended it.
