Pendleton had two apoplectic fits about three weeks since - was thought to be almost well, walking about the house etc. when he had another & it is now considered very doubtful whether he will recover. Drs. Rich & Snell, two real old fashioned betty & attend him - will not have Dr. McRuen. Eliab says they feed him on Calomel & Croton Oil.
