User-Contributed Transcription her at $125. The meeting house at Milo is almost completed. We expect to occupy the vestry of our new church in two to three weeks. Prof. Shepard says we have worshipped in "unclean places" long enough. I will put in a flower from a little cunning cactus we have in bloom. I am glad you get so many flowers. Perhaps Isaac will be interested to know that Abby Loring had not yet gone to California, nor have we heard from her husband. I pity her very much. Samuel called on Mrs. Hill when at Milo and gave her three dollars. I suppose she's very poor. Everett is well enough so he had gone into the mines. Monroe attends to business though not yet well. Angela thinks of going to N. York.Mr. Harlow is just moving into his new house opposite Mrs. Blood says Sarah was ruined? by going to South Hadley. Mr. Harlow continues his invitation to us to visit there as vigorously and cordially as ever. I don't know but we had better go in a body & stay a week. He has been very good in sending us apples & plums, but it is almost impossible to prevent having a hearty laugh each time after he goes away. He is a strange, strange man. What a heterogeneous maps of gossip, slander & wickedness I have scribbled off here. Really I will try to do better next time.Affectionately your sister LucyMary Tower is married.
