User-Contributed Transcription to you, so I presume I need not tell any Milo news. and as for Bangor news there seems to be none to tell. Mr. Enoch Tebbets boards with us yet - whereby we pay our rent! He is a very quiet, clever feller in the fullest American Sense of the term. Prof Shepherd and wife called here a day or two before Mother went home They are good. We had a nice chowder yesterday. Mother thinks that perhaps she and June can get along with the work here the coming winter. If Mother can do what's necessary without getting too much fatigued, and bringing on her low spirits which I so much dread, it will be very pleasant for all of us. I do want her here with me, and she insists that it certainly is not worth while for her & Jane to be here in addition to having a hired girl. I don't know what we shall decide upon. I am Sorry Charles has got into that foolish lawsuit, but it certainly is provoking to have a Cont of a fellow act as that Christopher did. We are having some nice Milo chickens cooked for dinner - won't you please to dine with us. The Roman Catholics have purchased a beautiful lot on the corner of Broadway and Cumberland Sts. intending to erect a splendid Cathedral. Daniel Holman has built an eight sided house up on Grove St. It looks queer enough. The Third parish church are talking of building a meeting house soon, if they can obtain a suitable lot. I believe this sheet is about full of - old news very probably. I can't recollect what we have written. Mother had two likenesses taken - not very good - Aff - Sis Lucy.
