User-Contributed Transcription Saturday. I have had letters from Mother dated at Northfield and from Anna at Elyria. Both seemed to be enjoying themselves finely. Anna was expecting letters from Chicago which would determine her future course. I wish on making accounts she could spend the winter with you - how pleasant it would be for all of you how much we all enjoyed last winter with her here. Theodore and Sarah started the next day after they left. The first of the week following their departure Mr. Sewall & wife came from Brownville to attend commencement - were here two days - so I was prevented from feeling quite so lonely as I should otherwise have done. The house seemed so empty after all were gone, you cannot think. I attended none of the Commencement exercises except President Hitchcock's address before the Rhetorical society, which was most excellent. Also Wednes.. evening we went to the Alumni meeting at the Seminary, and staid about an hour - much crowded, every body there - supper, speeches, singing etc. etc. was introduced to Rev. Elijah Jones, of Minot, Maine who is the author of the darling little piece "How big was Alexander
