User-Contributed Transcription Milo Oc. 19th 1847.Ma Chere Frere Your bundle, as you have probably learned ere this by Alfred Holman, was found at, and taken from Nye's store last Friday, the 15th inst. How long it had lain in that place I know not, but conclude not many days, from the date of your letter. The Bible is very pretty, neatly done - much obliged for your trouble. From your letter I very much fear that your shirts, and perhaps Ann's things were sent on to Isaac. I thought I took every possible precaution that there might be no mistake. I rolled your shirts by themselves, put a paper round them, and a letter directed to you on the outside. Ann's things I fixed in the same way. I just now happen to think that after putting your letter with your bundle we concluded to send your letter by mail, fearing you could not get the bundle otherwise, so soon, and took it out, but Eliab's was left in, so I hope you gave it to him instead of sending away. Please let me know so I may worry about it if you did! Moses is well enough and has been for all I know. Have not heard that Mr. G. is displeased. Presume he is not. The folks are at work on your
