User-Contributed Transcription (note on left side and top) Margaret is in miserable health- her friends are very anxious about her - some advise her to go West immediately as the only means of restoration but it seems to me she would never return if indeed she lived to get there. We rode down there one day last week.Dear Sister Nettie Samuel wrote this much last night leaving the sheet for me to fill out. He has really undertaken to retort upon Isaac on various points. Truly, our best wishes for your happiness are that you may enjoy as much as we do and have done. It makes us very glad to think of you as so comfortable and happy. How true it is that our outward circumstances and condition how very little to do with our real happiness. I do wish you had a resting place and home of your own - There is great comfort in it - but your case is not near so bad as it might be; the worst of it is Isaac's being gone so much. I can sympathise with you in that, you know; in the winter. Day before yesterday Samuel brought a dear bundle of letters from you and Isaac - each of us one, and some to spare I believe - We Thank you much. I think your singing birds and delicious air and luxurious vegetation must be delightful in the spring, and perhaps the whole year round. Still I cannot for a moment wish to change places with you. If I was well enough I would dearly love to take a journey out there and enjoy it a few days with you. Wouldn't we have a fine horseback ride together? I was on the point of saying their you were highly favored in regard to meetings, Sabbath schools etc. and indeed I suppose you are so, compared with those who have no religious privileges; yet I fear I
