When he came in, we told him that they feared she was worse & he went up stairs with some anxiety on his face, so Mallie was confirmed in her opinion that she was worse by the Dr's long face. I told him how she felt - he laughed a little & said he wished people would attend to what he said & not to the way his face looked, as he tried to tell just what he thought. She cannot bear the oil - her bowels are so weak, so they rub in just as much as they can on her back & bowels. The Dr. says that will give her a little strength. She cannot have milk & takes chiefly barley broth. Dr. Mc. says she must have milk - nothing else so good for a child - but every time she takes it it seems to hurt her. Mr. Rider is doing wonderfully well - his face is almost healed. Dr. is quite delighted about it. Don't you believe I want to go to Milo now as much as ever
