User-Contributed Transcription Lucy Sept. 15, 1855 Bangor Sept. 15 -1855.Dear Mother & people Your letter came to hand this evening. I have just finished reading it. Will, with alacrity, obtain and forward the articles desired as soon as I can, but when that will be, I am unaware. You will please bear in mind that we have no house, that I have no Lizzie to assist in the care of Percie, that Maria is and is likely to be disabled from duty for a long time to come, that our house is at present considered a hospital & that my bones are often weary., - but in process of time we will hope to accomplish whatever is desired. In regard to making the dress, nothing would give me greater pleasure, - saving & excepting, it might be, to make similar articles for a pair of twins for myself-! than to fit out divers[left-hand side] Hope Isaac won't quite lose himself in his glad glee these days. Am glad for your Joy.
