User-Contributed Transcription Bangor June 27, 1852 Bangor June 27 - 1852. Dear Mother I do not approve of writing letters sabbath day; and seldom do it, but as we rec'd another letter from Issac last night, which I know you will be anxious to see, I will write a little to send with it by tomorrow's mail. Eliab said I ought not to have sent his other letter till we heard again., but you charged me so particularly to forward as soon as we received his letters, that I thought I must. Your letter was rec'd last night. In regard to the principal matter therein contained, I am wholly incompetent and unable to utter a word. we have not had time yet to think of it. Isaac probably know the most about the individual. "If this thing should happen" as you say, I don't know what we should all do. It would hardly be home then for any of us without Almeda close by. Of course it is for herself to decide, - in view of her own happiness & good, and that of her children. You were real good to write so soon. I thank you. So please continue to write very often. We get along nicely so far, the day after you went away, Ann Page came in to comfort me concerning my Mother.[left-hand side] Mrs. Wiggins is very low - had watchers for a week - an attack of Asthma.
