User-Contributed Transcription He has now engaged there certainly for another year. The grasses came nicely. very much obliged Almeda. Have you got your bonnet fixed yet & how much did it cost? I want to come to Milo dreadfully. but it costs so much. Samuel has worked very hard this summer & thinks he shall not realise much - so we must be economical. It costs a good deal besides the wages to hire a girl. O, if I could only be well! I have had it in my heart to write letters separately to each of you, but I don't see why you can't all read them all & do just as well. Mother keeps threatening to go home, but I don't see how I can get along without her. I send a pr. of chemise for Jane, don't know how they will fit. Mr. Tibbits is boarding here now finishing his house. I am afraid Samuel will go into the woods again & I suppose he ought to, if he has a good chance. I wish I could be well enough to get along this winter with Jane & not hire a girl. Mother says she shall go down street again one of these days. I will get baby's apron at Charley's waist. Mrs. Stat.? Harlow died last sabbath. She had been sick a long time, but her death was quite sudden at last. His fourth wife. Guess I must lie down now. good bye Lucy.
