Maddie says she has writtenlately. I don't know whether since they decidedon calling the baby a "G.E.M." Gertrude ElyMetcalf. How do you like it? Any better thanEnergine? I am so glad little Mayo is so welland smart. He is much more forward thanPercie - how I should love to see him "talkingto the maple leaves." and hear his baby lipsspeak in Cajun? Percie tries to speak a goodmany words, but does not say any very distinctly. He puts his hand to his forehead andmakes a bow very prettily. I do not let him gooutdoors alone at all; I have made him aof kisses from Aunt Lucy to little Mayo. Thank him for me forhis "O dee" sympathy with little Percie - Lovingly your Sister Lucy.
