User-Contributed Transcription the street, uninjured, with my parasol over my head, as calm & unconcerned as you please. I could'nt help laughing. I suppose if I had been half killed I should have kept my parasol safe; and in its proper place over my head! Well, some gentleman came to the rescue, helped me in, I went after Mallie & after some deliberation we went on our way and made six calls. It bent the apletru & lost the whip. I was not injured at all, but somewhat jarred, so that my back & general feelings have not been quite so comfortable since - getting over it though - I put on one of Aunt Conant's plasters, which does me good - please tell her so I thank her for them when you write. Yesterday Mallie & I went shopping with Nelly, & over after Samuel at night. I was gone from baby three hours & a half - longer than I intended, but he did not so much as whimper once. He is just about as good as a baby can be generally - has a worrying day once in a while, but frequently sits in his[left-hand side] It was good. We were down to see Margaret again Saturday evening - she is very low - I should not be surprised at any time to hear of her death - she's[top upside down] I want you should begin immediately to make up
