User-Contributed Transcription We sympathize deeply with Isaac's big toe! He ought to be more careful. I am glad you are going to walk there fine spring mornings - it will do you both good. Percie talks a great l more than when you went away - will say the whole of "Now I lay me," after me, quite respectably - begins to put words together. When we are going away, he begins to kiss us half an hour beforehand, and cries if his father forgets to kiss him before he goes out. The great trouble with him is he is so whining and babyish. I wish he was as manly as Mayo. He says Mayo pretty well. I ask him where Mayo is - he says "Mi." and then goes on to say "Ma- ma-ma" (grandmother) "Nenny" and tries to say Isaac. Samuel has got him a little rocking chair. I think Josie has the right of it in regard to Mary's being a man! Did I tell you that Prof. Shepard called while I was at Mallie's the other day - I was very sorry not to see him. Mr. Wallace, the Scotchman, preacher last sabbath forenoon.I have had another letter from Mrs. Whittelsey. She & the publisher do not agree about the money I sent. Mrs. Harlow has got the
