User-Contributed Transcription if I said so, or at least till I could write again for the Milo girl, but we had had so much fuss that Maria said she has rather take still more care of Percie for a while than to have any body come. Then you know two girls are apt to make trouble together. Baby is about weaned now, I feel considerably better than I did, partly owing to Dr. Paine's medicine I think & partly to weaning the baby. I think with care we shall get along nicely now. Percie is very good nights - several nights he has not waked to ask for food at all when he does, he drinks his milk & goes immediately to sleep, but days he worries most all the time. He has grown poor very much within a fortnight is not so strong to stand as some day ago; He has been very costive indeed, since I began to wean him- I am giving him now some of Dr. Paine's little powders, which begin to help him. Please don't worry about us. I dare say we shall all do nicely in a little while. It would have been the extreme of comfort if you could have been here the past three weeks, but I know it is not best. I would not have you fail of making Almeda a good long visit this spring for anything. Do make yourself happy & at home there and comfort her ever so much & be comforted yourself. Also write me from there how Jane
