User-Contributed Transcription Bangor Nov. 21 1853 5take comfort while we are together, Ma." We have not yet for into the meeting house. The weather is so damp, the paint does not dry very well. Prof. Shepard and his wife called here last week. I inquired something about the meeting house - he shook his head and said he knew nothing about it - his wife laughed and said they had never been able to get him near it since the accident. He said he did not want to see it. Lissie Page has petitioned for a seat in our pew - she wants to go to that meeting. I have not for my cloak or dress made yet, thought my dress is fitted ready to make. Well, 'tis broad light, & I must hasten myself. Percie has not yet waked - he is a charming good boy at all times & seasons. If I am away in the evening, and he wakes, he never cries - he is as earnest a little fellow as you please - has not got his third tooth, yet! I think he will creep before long. How he does scream, spring, laugh and crow when he sees Samuel coming. We had a letter from Ellen Brown last week with check
