They think going in a fortnight. I hardly see how Mallie will get along when they are gone, at least till Joanna gets here. Sam'l has had a talk with Mr. Jewett about Edwin. They do not intend to keep him, and he does not want to stay - is bent on going to seed again. I fear he is a bad boy. I pity his poor Mother. Mrs. Bradford Harlow was sadly distressed at finding you were all gone - said she had had unexpected company and everything to prevent her sending for is. Mrs. Haskins was very sorry not to have called - even Aunt Natty expressed regrets that she did not invite us over there. I do really wish, Mother, that you had taken a longer time to stay at Exeter. But perhaps it will be convenient to go again sometime soon.
