User-Contributed Transcription bout the house for Percie to catch her, has a very winning, pretty way with her, and so good & sensible. I should love to tell you some of the nice things Mr. P. says about Mrs. Harlow - He reminds me much of Joseph in his dry wit - He says, "I'm afraid of Mrs. Harlow." He says she will crowd just as hard as it will do on Mr. Harlow, to accomplish some purpose of her own, making him think it is solely for his happiness & well-being, is exceedingly shrewd to see just how far it will do do go, and if she finds it can't go, "she will back out the handsomest of anything that ever I saw." I hope you take good care of Mother's precious tomatoes &c. I do think you ought to go up & see Almeda again. We have tomatoes as large as a hen's egg. Mrs. Shepherd sent ever so much love to everybody, Mother in particular. Ellen has decided to wait &
