User-Contributed Transcription many rafts of boards taken down there and filed up to season, thinking there may be a sale for their next winter when it would be difficult to get them from here. This lumber business, as it is at present, is a sad perplexity. I presume you have heard from Nettie all about Percie's illness at Milo & how I came home with him sooner than I intended. He was quite sick two or three days after I got back- discharged a good deal of blood- but I think that & the fit all occasioned by eating three beans swallowed without sufficient chewing, as he passed one almost whole two days after eating it. He seems a little too much relaxed all the time & I am obliged to be constantly careful in regard to his diet, otherwise he is well now. Eliab thinks of going to Milo for Maria next Thursday. I suppose they have all gone to Brownville now. I guess I shall let Lizzie go up
