User-Contributed Transcription it will answer every purpose. If you have not engaged elsewhere, and conclude to go, you will come home first, won't you? Come home and stay a few days at least and get your things all fixed up nice and comfortable. I want you to write soon as you can, whether you got those shirts from Mrs. Stephens, and how you like them. I wish to know whether to make yours here with bosoms, or make the bosoms separate. Also, how many Collars you want made. Give me instructions and I will leave all and attend to fixing your things. I can't bear to think of you not coming home before you go away to stay all winter. I was so much hurried doing that sewing for Jos. and Eliab, while you were here, that it seems as if I didn'nt see you any hardly. I seemed to have an idea all the while that you were going to stay a good while longer. Sam was at Milo Saturday and Sunday, came up partly to see Mr. Greenleaf about Mores?. I believe it is pretty much decided that Joseph has him, but must pay his board if he does. Martha Hill has visited here today. Blab, blab not a word about "that dollar"! Fred. Loring?, Naomi and Abby called here again.Abby is going on to meet said Fred. at Boston in three or four weeks, to be married. Folks say 'tis quite romantic to elope, but not so pretty to elope alone! Shall I write any more gossip, or leave you now to contemplate the business part of this letter? Guess the latter will be the wiser course, especially as it is pretty late in the evening. Will just say however that Charles has about done haying - that is, has been, for some time past cutting said hay! He has been mowing some Oats too. The corn ripens beautifully - no frost yet.
