User-Contributed Transcription Nov. 28 1848. Brother Isaac Rec'd our "After Election" last eve. am really sorry that you feel so unreconciled to the decree of the people. I shall be engaged at the Mill through next week. We think some of scaling logs this winter, we had an application today to scale for three teams on the Sam Ayers near Lincoln and two teams n Bo. 2 R 10th 50 miles from Milo via Widow Philbrooks. should we conclude to scale we think it best not pay house rent in Bangor but shall leave our better half in Milo while with the other half we "range the wild woods o'er" What do you think of our scaling this winter! Good night S.W.F.
