User-Contributed Transcription He has been very well all winter till this ill time. It almost seemed as if nothing would hurt him - has been out about every day - When it is pleasant I often let him ride down with Mr. Martin at noon & back with Sam'l. He talks a great deal about Mayo - has most of his play arranged with reference to him. How I want to see Mayo with his tanned cheeks - Give him a good solid hug and a shower of kisses from Aunt Lucy. We are greatly amused with his funny speeches. Percie was on his knees the other day, I did not notice him particularly, but told him not to get on his knees - he looked up & said "I helping Faver pray to Dod," His grammar is almost precisely like Mayo, he uses the possessive case "in the same way, & the other day as Caroline was combing his hair in the kitchen, he came in saying, "ther is tombing ther hair." Words beginning with "h" and "r", he is very apt to begin with
