User-Contributed Transcription Shepherd's being obliged to leave town next Friday. We felt it necessary to invited her with Mrs. Webster & Miss Doe here to tea Thursday - (tomorrow) - and it will make us somewhat hurried to get "ferry cake" made in season! I think[left-hand side] some section for her nice Bangor Sept. 29 - 1852Dear Mother We are moved, and, as you may imagine, in some confusion and disorder at present. Charles found us just thrown in, in heaps. not spread out at all. Anne is about tired out I imagine. I stand it admirably - my tough pot has not given out yet, though I confess I was a little the worse for the wear last night. My woman is here washing windows etc. This forenoon ...then
