User-Contributed Transcription Bangor May 6, 1854just as their new stock of goods is coming in - vessels unloading etc. most all of the time. Bay is fairly weaned - does not teaze me at all now - he has another tooth and feels better since. I think I feel much better for weaning him. It was too much of a tax on my spring strength. Tiny powders have helped me too. I feel much better, but dare not do much. I have dusted the room two or three times, and put away things a little in the morning etc. Mallie is smart as can be, helps me about Percie a good deal - she has walked to meeting several times lately, up from down town etc. I believe I wrote you that S. and E. together have decided to keep the horse - have him kept at a stable to save time and trouble - take him and after he has had his dinner, to bring them to theirs, and keep him out till after tea; so they usually walk down in the morning and up at night, only when they are very tired, "Tim" brings them home. A short, hurried note from Anna says she expects to be here the first week in June. Our garden fence is very lengthed out - the bedroom will be served ditto next week. I have a bundle of Independents ready to send next time Mr. Gould comes down - chiefly for the children's pieces to read to Charlie. How did he like his book? Tell Albina I mean to write soon to her in answer to
