User-Contributed Transcription Shepherd's being obliged to leave town next Friday. We felt it necessary to invited her with Mrs. Webster & Miss Doe here to tea Thursday - (tomorrow) - and it will make us somewhat hurried to get "ferry cake" made in season! I don't think of anything special to write, as Charles will tell you all. only that Sarah Harlow popped in to see the house before we had been here half an hour! Samuel got an Irishman and two wheelbarrows, and moved without a team. How soon are you coming to see us? I hope you will go to Brownville soon. I think a little, a very little of going to Milo when Samuel goes. I think I shall keep both cheeses, though I fear they may mould and spoil and dry up - the little one, which we have cut is very nice. The cream is a real treat - what a splendid toast we had last night., and coffee this morning - it will be so nice for company tomorrow. Charles thinks you won't want the bottles, so I'll borrow them a while, except one, in which I'll send a little ketchup. Mr. Harlow is going to move down into his new house very soon - do write often good bye Lucy[left-hand side] Tell Albina I'll try and make some section for her nice cream sometime.
