User-Contributed Transcription When C. comes again send such picture-frames as you think we could use but I think the mourning poece better be left - the frame would not be suitable for other pictures. We have been in haste as usual are in confusion now looking forward still to time to read etc. E. had a letter from E. Hampton last week: would not show it. he did the last: about the school she said that if her sister did not conclude to take it she would write should like of all things to have but sister there and such nothing! in this last she said one of the trustees had had one in view all the time, that she was very much afraid her plans would not succeed but what her plans were she did not inform us. I have not expected to go there. Think to go to Foxcroft next spring would be both more pleasant and better for me. E. I think feels anxious about various matters said last eve that he thought it doubtful whether he should stay all winter in Bangor: asked me if he had better be married this fall ---we have been in such a hurly burly lately that had been no time to talk. Lucy's dress left here & a cape that I send her.[upside down] Bangor Sept. 29 '52
