User-Contributed Transcription home yet, though I presume it soon would, if I could run about the house. I have not seen Eliab yet - hope he will be up this evening. Issac, I rec'd a most excellent and very kind letter from a young lady of your acquaintance, dated at Concord New Hampshire today. I intend to answer it in a few days. She has told me the whole story about her being engaged etc. Now what do you think? I wish you would take the earliest opportunity to send the big chair by some careful teamster to be left at the second house below Mr. Harlow: on the opposite side. I use the big easy chair, but the castors are out of order, and it being very difficult to move, Samuel is obliged to carry me all about. Samuel will ascertain about the cow as soon as he can. I expect Lissie will be here some next week. I wish you could find out & write by Tuesday's mail or as soon as practicable about the "coronation cord," as I must get Lissie or Mehitable to do my shopping before they go. Isaac's letter is not in any of those books. Samuel says he certainly saw it once in one of the drawers under the glass. 5 o'clock P.M. What do you think? Flora Tower Pond, Mary W. Tower and Mrs. Joseph Teeat have called here this afternoon. Flora married & living in Boston, and Mary who has been nearly two years at school in Woburn & Charlestown, on their way to Foxcroft to see Rebecca who is very sick - they were too late to go today & being obliged to wait till
