Samuel thinks he shall get appointed Surveyor in Bangor, but don't know how things will tune? yet. Pity Isaac did not get his application sooner. Clerks are said to be very careless at the Bangor Post Office. Mehitable writes she is coming down when her Father goes, to make us a short visit. I am glad Isaac can stay with Josie so long, and I want him to, but it seems as if I ought to see him some, too. Have you seen in the Tribune a notice that Dr. Munde has bought the "Water works" at or near Northampton, Mass. and "set up for himself." Does Josie continue his baths? You don't hardly write me anything about him, how he gets along - and he never does. The roads are here quite dry and dusty, though the frost is not out - ground shakes under the horses' feet in some places. 8th Apr. Prof. Shepherd preached big sermon yesterday about Prof. Webster. His text wasnot exactly "Murder will out" bit "be sure your sin will find you out," "The soul that sinneth it shall die," and two or three other similar passages.
