User-Contributed Transcription to him. We rather thought he mourned after you -was more worrysome than usual. Is generally as good a common babies I think. You know I don't think he is anything remarkable notwithstanding you have all tried to make me think he is. I am glad if I need not wear my sholls any longer, though Mrs. Lee says I ought to save the milk to feed the baby with for economy's sake. I thought you and Anna were both going to stay at Almeda's some time now. How I wish I could write a letter that would comfort her - but she well knows where to look for such sympathy & comfort as no earthly friend can give her How very appropriate Mr. Sewall's text was. Lizzie Doe has been in twice. The last time brought me a splendid boquet - fourteen tulips, sever different kinds, Jonquil, Lilacs & the dear Lily of the Valley. I wished very much the last was at Brownville to lay by dear Lucy. Shady side is really interesting & I should think might do good. I wish Anne would write to Maria. I was asleep & Jane forgot to give the saddle to Mr. Livermore, so Sam'l sent it by Gould today.
