User-Contributed Transcription I am going to finish my new De Laine dress today cut it myself - going to Bangor tomorrow. Mrs. Mc Cullis came down last night to desire Samuel to go immediately into the woods, one trip, which he cannot do for some days, and wants very much to fix us off to Milo first - so I shall make all the haste possible to get able to go. Hope to go next week - after Thanksgiving, Friday or Saturday, but I don't know. my back is very weak, but the rest of me gets strong daily. Samuel may be obliged to go once before that, even - Mill shut down last Saturday. Mrs. Finnigan coming to kill biddies today I expect - scrabble to eat them up before we go. If I can't go to Milo in one day, can take tow for it can't I? We think that some stout dark patch will be preperable for the lounge, as it will last a good long time, be much more easily put on, & not look so "try to do something," besides being cheaper. I think that barrels make the prettiest & easiest ends for a lounge. Charles Smith has one made so I understand - resemble our round end sofa - Ann says please not color the stockings till we come with some more. I have not rode out yet - no suitable weather & going. S. has carried me out on the piassa twice, tugs me out to have breakfast, dinner & supper - well he is stout. I frequently get up before light - six this morning. We are through "Copperfield" O, Ma! you'll read it I know. good bye- Lute[left-hand side] I knit more or less every day -generally less.
