User-Contributed Transcription get into a waggon - and that good people never call to see her. Mr. Partridge called about ten minutes. Mr. Temple not at all. She wishes they would call and see her. What should hinder Almeda from getting acquainted with Frances (not make too much of her) and then she and Mrs. Sargent or somebody Club together and go to see Mrs. Davis. It might comfort her up, edify her and do her great good. If there is a bible class sustained, as there ought to be. This winter in Milo, I want Frances should be invited into it and instructed. She says she wished she had been brought up differently. She never knew how interesting the Bible was till this summer - she never cared anything about reading it before etc. I presume her Mother will use her influence, be it much or little, to make a Universalist of her, and if there be not some conteracting influence, she may lose what little of good impressions she has gained this summer. You had better not mention the state of things much, as our remarks may come to ears who will accuse is of merely desiring to proselyte. What a great time everybody is making about Kossuth. I am afraid they will spoil him. I never thought to say a word to Nathan Sargent about paying him for bringing the bueeter. Had he been paid? If you bring Charlie, then Charles and Albina will be sure to come soon. I want to see the baby. I want to see Almeda & the children too. Seems as if I can't think of not going to Milo this winter, & yet I suppose I had better not. Tell my niece & nephew Lucy and James. that I have laid it up against them
