User-Contributed Transcription did when you went away. I have written to Almeda, Anne and Nettie quite lately. I insinuated to Isaac that his birdie must be a blackbird as it was "born in Egypt? What think you of the enclosed advertisement?Tues. morn - Baby weighs thirteen lbs lacking a quarter. A great solid fellow - we have not carried him out yet & wonderful to tell, I have not been to Mrs. Crosby's yet. Samuel wrote to Col. Lee this morning of the time for the dedication of our meeting house - he thought, when here, he should come up if he could ascertain when it would be. It is next Thursday evening -Rehearsals of the choir most every evening - learning a new piece. Samuel carried me down to the new church last week. It is handsome - 'specially the painting - the ladies are greatly hurried making carpets etc. Some of the cushions do not fit - have to be pieced out- Mr. Cushing is in Bangor in the wool business some way - told Samuel he thought he would give Charles forty five cents for his wool. Dinner is ready - I must top. Cushing says bring wool soon as you can. Samuel called at your old friend Paul Indley's a few days since - made an errand on purpose - he remembered you. In haste & much love. Lucy.
