User-Contributed Transcription woman - she has a great deal to bear. Mr.Crosby is very bad with the hypo again & partly brought on, I think, by anxiety for Margaret - but it all comes so hard on Mrs. Crosby. She says she finds a great deal to contend with in her own heart. Margaret was lying in bed just as sweet & patient as ever --they have a bed down stairs now. She is very weak. If it were not for baby, how I would love to go down & stay two or three days with her. The social gathering was appointed sabbath day by Mr. Shepard all on his own responsibility - said nothing to nobody beforehand - he says in Mr. Kirks' church they have them once a month all the time. He and his wife were there talking with everybody. I really enjoyed it much - came across Mr. Humphrey & two or three students who were acquainted with Isaac. Mr. S preached a most excellent sermon on worship last sabbath - he took up prayer particularly - is to preach on song next sabbath. He said the minister had the responsibility of taking the lead, and a great one too, but every one should throw his portion inot the "swelling column of desire." speaking of oratorical precision & nicety - in prayer, [left-hand side] cost no more for clothing. She is all fitted out. I am so glad you think Mrs. Ruibal is innocent. Tell Binia to write to me - love to all- good bye- Affec. Do write often yourself. If Albina does not perfectly like her dress, I will take it, but want to know soon about it.
